Introductions to an appropriate partner or selection of partners in Pyongyang is critical. KBC takes time to understand very carefully a customer’s detailed requirement, and then we sit together to set appropriate goals and objectives prior to the first visit. We then pass this to the host to arrange the visit in a result-oriented and effective way. We are specialists in making gaining maximum benefit by carefully scheduling the meeting programme – and aligning mutually attainable and beneficial objectives.
Careful preparation in the matching of clients and partners, and in the alignment of objectives, helps us all move towards together to achieve success. We are highly result oriented and experienced in this specialist field in Pyongyang.
We have significant projects and clients in the mining, manufacturing, energy agriculture and logistics sectors. We are most interested to assist in helping foreign companies who have a clear vision of what they seek to achieve; KBC can then provide valuable introductions to carefully selected and competent partners in the DPRK.
General Visits to Pyongyang– for 2-6 Companies
Whilst we carefully match-make serious companies who have clear view of what they seek to achieve (generally customised visits for individual companies), we also provide ‘general groups’ of 2-6 companies, for those who want to obtain a good feel for the market, and are non-competing. The visit programme, normally over four to five days can be more general, but include some one-to-one introductions to relevant potential partners and related industry organiaations.
Seminars and Events
We are pleased to be planning more seminars and events, such as the next ‘Business-Golf Challenge’ in September. We plan to open this to many more business persons – and the opportunity to have a one-day business, and one day to participate in a ‘Golf Event’ or just go sightseeing, is carefully packaged to attract a higher volume of visitors.
Market-Entry Missions and Exhibitions
KBC has a wide experience with trade fairs and exhibitions in Pyongyang and encourages participation as part of a coordinated market-entry strategy.
KBC participated in the annual Pyongyang International Trade Fair (PITF), in May 2001, and found this to be valuable from a market awareness, promotional and networking perspective.
This annual exhibition attracts participants and visitors from a wide range of industries, including mining, energy and power generation, textiles, transportation, construction, light industry, public health, agriculture, and others.
Other European-organised events and trade fairs are planned. We recommend that If your company is interested in emerging market opportunities in the DPRK, then exhibitions can be part of the plan we would we pleased to discuss with you.
KBC offers a variety of market entry packages to suit your needs
Arranging your first visit to coincide with the various seminars, events and trade fairs can be beneficial. We arrange visit programs either as part of a small group or as individual company customized visits.
